The SDI-12 Sensor Interface – Model 4046-01 provides for two 0-5 VDC analog inputs, one digital event (tipping bucket), battery voltage, and internal temperature measurement. Via an internal jumper the SDI-12 Sensor Interface provides either 12 VDC or a precision 5 VDC switched power to the external sensors.

The SDI-12 Sensor Interface uses the standard SDI-12 version 1.1 command set. Sensor warmup time, user defined slope and offsets may be set using “extended” commands. The SDI-12 Sensor Interface may be used with any SDI-12 data logger. Since most high rate GOES radios incorporate an SDI-12 sensor interface, a complete GOES system can be made using the Model 4046 SDI-12 Sensor Interface with a GOES radio. There are no adjustments which need to be made to the SDI-12 Sensor Interface once a system is configured.

The Model 4046 SDI-12 Sensor Interface is contained within an attractive, small, light-weight DIN rail package. All connections are easily accessible screw terminals. The SDI-12 sensor interface should be mounted inside a weatherproof environment.
